Sandra's Sunday Corner

And my Sunday choices for today are:

Music:"This Christmas"--By Christina Aguilera

Book:
"Christmas Carol"--by Charles Dickens

Perfume:"Nina"-- by Nina Ricci

Crappy Feeling....

I'm not feeling very good today...
In fact, I wasn't feeling that good yesterday either...
Me and hubby have been Christmas shopping for the past 3 days and that has been quite stressful to me...To him too I suppose...But he's not in his "PMS" week...or is unemployed for the past 3 years...
This Christmas we have a very low budget to spend on Christmas gifts and that makes me feel really bad...Mostly because we can not buy some of the stuff the kids would like to have...Then there is my brother...I still haven't figured out what to buy him...He's 13 and all the stuff he likes is way too expensive to what I can afford....Then there are mom and MIL...Both of them quite picky with their taste...I once bought something to my mom and what she said was «what am I supposed to do with is?»....My MIL only likes expensive perfumes but we're thinking in offering her one in her birthday next February, so now I give her what?....
And we have 5 nieces and nephews still to buy a treat...Yeah, a treat....Cause we can't buy anything else but it....
Ohh!...Did I mention that I'm so broke that I don't even have the money to buy hubby a present?!...He said me not to worry cause I have the rest of the year to do so...And his Birthday is next month....
I feel down....
I feel like crying...
I feel useless...
Overall, I feel a piece of S**t!...

Done with the Annoying Phone Calls

Don't you ever get fed up with all the annoying phone calls that you keep getting in the most unappropriated times?
How often it happens to you?I bet that more then you wish right? It's even more annoying when you don't know who's calling!
It used to happen to me a lot.Not anymore now that I've found this cool site.
So if you want to get rid of that problem just try Phone Number Reporting.
There you can report a phone number or even search for Area Codes.
You can also read submitted comments and/or post your own.

Thursday Thirteen--21st Edition

Thirteen Things about My Week

  • Last Monday we took Wilson to the pediatric-cardiologist.She did same exams on him and told us not to worry cause everything is ok.She's 95% sure that those pains in his chest are due to respiratory problems (he has large adenoids).Still she scheduled another exam to January just to be 100% sure of it.
  • The day we went to Lisbon to Wilson's app it was freezing!Still I managed to take some gorgeous pics that I'll post on my Friday Memes
  • This week I got really worried about Wilson because some kids in his school saw a man taking pictures of them during recess time. Some of the little girls were just terrified.Like always, most of the grown up did not believe the kids and said they were making it up...I DO believe in children! So Wilson is being escorted by me, dad or big bro always!
  • Filipe won a computer game Tournament in his School(you can check his winning pics over "Cidade Jovem")
  • Hubby gave me my Xmas present, an Expresso coffee machine
  • We got our wireless system! Now it's non stop blogging the whole time!
  • I'm in my PMS week...
  • I got xmas cards from my BBF's Tammy,Toni and Tina Lapadula
  • My mom is going to Serra da Estrela, way up North in Portugal. She's going to see snow for the very first time
  • I'm still thinking what to give to my kids for Christmas
  • Eric fall asleep while having dinner 2 days ago.It was hilarious to see him fighting it...Chewing with his eyes closed!LOL!
  • Finally I'm NOT breastfeeding Eric any more!!!Woo Hoo!
  • A friend of mine told me a secret that made me sooooooooooo happy that I screamed when she told me ************!You wanna know what it is ???You will know! Some day!LOL!

Wilson's Christmas Party at School

Today was kids last school day.Now it's Xmas Break! They only go back on January 5th...
So once it was they last day, they had a small party at school (party in school here is equal to kids singing and dancing. That' s about it...)
Filipe also had a party at Junior High, but it was at the exact same hour then Wilson's.
Last year I didn't managed to watch Wilson's Xmas party cause the parents were not aloud to watch due to the lack of space...(Yeah, you read it right. Not aloud!)So this year I decided to watch Wilson's...Poor Filipe didn't have any family member watching his...Thanks God he is mature enough to understand the reason why...
So, here are 3 videos of the kids performance...

This first one is Wilson's class performing a song/dance.He's the one in the end of the front row with a dark brown jacket and a blue scarf.(I'm sorry about the heads in front but it was crowded and I couldn't get up to make the video. And I had Eric sit on my lap! :P)

This second one is Wilson's music and English class. You can see his music teacher playing guitar.

Finally the third one!
This is nothing to do with Wilson!LOL!
You see, where we live there are 3 predominant cultures (Portuguese,African and Gypsy).
I bet you girls have that romantic idea of gypsy ladies with colorful long skirts reading hands...
That's far from the truth!....
They have a very strong culture that has some beautiful things like girls and their pride about their long hairs, like the jewelery they wear (they love gold) and their dancing.
The teachers try to emphasize the best in every culture.
In this video you can see 2 gorgeous gypsy girls and some gypsy boys dancing.Of course, that in every class there are kids from the 3 cultures but this 3rd grade (year) teacher decided to do something different than Christmas Carols.

WORDLESS WEDNESSAY--15th Edition

BBF's 3--Family 0
Ok.Once again I'm skipping the "wordless" part of it...
This is just me making a point about my feelings towards this country/culture/people...
We're 1 week away from Christmas...It looks like I have no family or Portuguese friends...
Thankfully, I've made new ones!Or else that shelve would be empty!
