A sick kiddo!...

Today I had to stay home cause Eric is feeling sick....Poor thing!....It breaks my heart to see him like this....I don't know what exactly is wrong with him (and neither do the doctors!) but he kept vomiting all through the night...He does not have fever (which is good!) but he's always complaining that his tummy hurts and so does his throat...
Any way...He seems to be a bit better now....We both had a busy night and a busy morning!...
Hope he gets some sleep this afternoon....
I sure could use some sleeping right now!LOL!

Wordless Wednesday--28th Edition

Latest News Upon My Crib

I've been quite absent lately but as you know I've been looking for a job cause life was demanding ASAP!...
And you all hotmommas know how demanding it is to take care of our children 24/7, plus the house...The dog...The birdie....LOL!
Well...Finally, last week I was called for an interview!...In fact, that same call was the 1st part of my interview:testing my English Skills! And I did fine!So they scheduled me for the second interview live on scene!LOL!And I did good again!Last Friday I went through the 3rd part of it:a little chat on the phone with the company's chairman (in this case a chairwoman!LOL) who's British!And I did good again!
So today the manager called me to say that they did like me and so I was hired!YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How great is that????I'm so excited!!!
First cause I loved the working environment, I have the chance to work speaking in English and the salary ain't that bad compared to my previous job!
That's due to the fact that the company is NOT PORTUGUESE!And when I settle I got the chance to achieve one of my biggest dreams in life!Move overseas!Yeah you heard me!Their company is spread worldwide so I can work for them any where!!!
I'm still head over hills about it and I'm all stressed up trying to figure out everything at the same time cause I've been home for the past 3 years and I'm kinda stuck on the "mommy gear"!
Anyhoo!...
Another big achievement around here was made by Eric:he's fully potty trained at last!No more diapers for him!!!For the past 2 nights he has been sleeping with out it and did not wet the bed!Ain't he the sweetest thing ever!?Yay for the both of us!
So I hope you all lovely girls, keep your fingers crossed for me!

Talk #1

Yesterday I bought a new pair of slippers...A Spiderman ones...
Eric:(screaming at the top of his lungs like if was being bitten or something...)Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!Wilson took away my dear and beautiful slippers!!!!
In this  one he scared the hell out of me, cause I really thought he got injured or something!Turned out that his brother took them out  so he could sit on the sofa....

Talk#2

Two days ago while I was brushing my hair:
Eric:Mommy,what are you doing?
Me:I'm brushing my hair...
Eric:Let me see it.Please, can you turn?
So I turned my back so he could see it.
Eric:WOW!You look beautiful mommy!Your hair is beautiful!

Talk #3
On the bus after last minute Christmas shopping,I was doing funny faces to Eric but I had my sunglasses on...
Eric:(trying to look at my eyes directly)Mommy!Taken them out....I wanna see it!....
Me:See what?
Eric:Your eyes!It's too dark with the glasses.
I took them out...
Eric:(smiling ear to ear)Those eyes are beautiful!

LOL!I think he's in love with the "beautiful" word!!!

Eric and Santa!...

A couple of days ago, while heading home after all my errands, Eric came up with this conversation:
He:«I want Pocoyo Game.»
Me:«Oh yeah?Then you'll have to ask Santa for that.»
He:«No.I have to ask dad for that.»
Me:«No...You have to ask Santa cause he's the one who brings kids their presents.»
He:«NO!I have to ask DAD cause he's the one who's got the "MONEYS"!
Bwahahahahah!!!!!!!!
Kids!...
I think it's so cute when they have their lil' hearts filled with hopes and dreams...
I think nowadays kids are smarter then we believe!...
3 years old...And he doesn't believe in Santa anymore!....*Big sigh*.....

The Birthday Lunch/Party

Yesterday we had a small family gathering over my MIL's to celebrate Eric's birthday.Everything went smoothly and the kids had a great time eating all those candies! LOL!The grown up's also had a blast having their booze and yummy food!LOL!
There were some relatives that were not able to attend to the birthday party.Some of them I missed but some others I was glad they weren't there!LOL!(Like that lady I've mentioned on my guesting post over my friend Tina Lapadula's place).

2 Remarks about these pics:
1--I almost fainted when hubby told me the b'day cake price!I asked the smallest size (which is 1.5 killos=3.30lbs)!We payed 26€=$33.8 for it!I think it's quite expensive for a birthday cake!....
2--Eric didn't have the chance to play with that airplane that he won from his cousin Carina and her boyfriend.Wilson and my brother Andre broke it before he had the chance to do it...

My Own Spooky Story

Yeah...I know!...I know!...Halloween is over, but I have to tell you this story.
I should have posted this during Halloween, but you know me! I'm everything but conventional !!!And I'm not sure if "spooky"is the right term for it.One thing I guarantee you...It's way weird!...

Last year, during Christmas Season,me and my hubby were watching some funny emails he had in box...
Eric (who had turned 2 a couple of weeks before) was sitting on hubby's lap and watching the emails with us...
Once it was Christmas time there were a lot of emails related to the Season...
My hubby opened up a Christmas power point that had several religious pictures...
Now let me tell you that thou I believe in God I HAVE NO RELIGION,so I do not go to churches and I don't have any religious images or pictures around the house!...
At a certain point Eric shouts:"Maria!"(Mary) pointing to the Holly Mary picture.Me and hubby look at each other astonished!How could a 2 year old boy know that if there were no references around the house?!
And 2 seconds later he points to Jesus Christ picture on the screen and shouts again:"Avô Rui!"(Grandpa Rui)!Me and my hubby just couldn't believe what the kid said!My father had passed away 10 years ago!And that's not a name he is used to hear!
We were so amazed/astonished/shocked with that , that we decided to play the power point again and ask him who it was on the pictures!
Believe it or not he told the exact same thing!
How freaking weird is that?!

The weather has been kinda crazy lately.
In the same day we can experience the four seasons!
The night is cold as Winter, the mornings look like Spring, the afternoon is hot and the evening is a typical Fall day...
Eric doesn't mind the chilly nights as long he can have his favorites ice creams in the afternoon!

Blood Tests??No, Thank You!

Well, the weekend is over and Thank God Eric didn't get any fever!*PHEW*
This means that tomorrow morning we are NOT having any blood+urine tests done!Yay!
No needles!No syringes!No baby kicking and screaming and no mommy having a stress attack!
Anywoo...Me and Filipe have a doctor app tomorrow.We're going to our ophthalmologist and do our annual check up.
I'm feeling a bit better today.I don't feel feverish any longer.Thanks so much everyone for caring!You ladies rock!
