Still Dreaming About The Stars

Some days I wish I was still 13...Like today...On this pic I was 13 about to be 14...Man! I still remember how much I cried that day!...I cried of happiness...I was finally receiving my 'stars'!...After an entire year eagerly waiting for that day...After an entire year of training...1st Aids course...Drills!....After all the blood and tears...I was finally receiving my wonderful 'stars'!...

With those stars on my shoulders I could finally help people for real!....I could ride the ambulances as my colleagues could do...I could help them out during Summer time to put out fires!...Man! I was so proud of those stars...so proud of that uniform....And my Dad! Gosh!There were stars in his eyes too!...

I wish I was 13 again....I wish all my worries were still the same I had back then...

And those were not the only stars I dreamed about...The Star Spangled Banner was already a goal to achieve...And so many times I wished upon a shooting star to help me out fulfill my dream...

20 years later...And I'm still crying over those stars...It's so hard when you put all your heart into something and everyone seems to commend you for the good job you're doing and all you get is a tap on your shoulder and not the stars over what you've cried and bled for...

I cried today...It's a fact...And this time weren't tears of happiness... And my Dad ain't here no more to wipe them out for me...Now He has his own place among the stars and is watching over me...So I fell...But I'm up again...I shall continue walking...with a steady walk..Maybe even stronger...

Still dreaming about the stars....Still wanting to reach them...

Like they say...What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger.

And for the sake of my 3 lil'stars brought to this world I'm still holding on to that dream...I know that one day...maybe sooner than I expect my lucky star will shine again...

Autumn Thoughts!....

Autumn generally is not an easy time of the year for me...The days go shorter and I hardly have opportunity to see any daylight...I'm not very fond of the cold weather either...And my mood gets as gray as the sky above me... And then comes that homesick feeling...The reddish trees...The smell of fresh made peanut butter cookies...*big sigh*....
I still love my job that's a fact but I feel now that I want a bit more than this..
Either I get a promotion asap or I got to start chasing my dream job again!....
And for the first time in my life I got criticized cause "apparently" I'm too thin now!....Yup...That's true...My MIL today asked me what is wrong with me cause I'm too skinny now!...Well 1 year ago they were asking hubby what he was doin' to me cause I was going rounder by the day!...What a f**** is wrong with everyone?? I feel good about myself (I mean kind of!) so stop bugging me!Gee....
Ain't people ever satisfied?...Is there always a lil'something for us to complaint about?...
I guess that is human nature...right?...But I'd appreciate if some people could keep it to
themselves...

«The minute I opened up the door I knew that that was just another huge mistake...

We just had a fight a couple of hours before and you said that you don't need this in your life...That I was too complicated for you...

I'm too complicated?...Those words kept pounding in my brain since the moment they came out of your mouth...

But there you were...Standing at my door again...Asking me to come inside and have a word...

I knew I should have said: "There's nothing else for us to say..." I knew I should have asked you to leave...

But I didn't...I couldn't...It was stronger than me...

You tried to hold me but I stepped away from you...Turned my back on you and faced the wall...I needed to stay focused and I couldn't do it staring at your eyes...

You apologized about the way you acted before...But I was hurt...

You came closer and put your arms around me...I asked you to stop and go away...

You turned me and made me face you...Placed your finger gently over my lips and shushed me...

My whole body was trembling and I could barely feel my legs...The way you pressed your body against mine allowed me to feel the heart beat on your chest....

My mind was saying "I want you no more!..." but my body was screaming for you!...

Gosh! I hated myself for being so weak!...

You pushed me against that wall and kissed me passionately...Your hands were all over me...I felt like you were discovering my body for the very first time thou you knew it better than me...

I wrapped my legs around you and you took me to the bed...

I knew it was a mistake...

I knew you'd hurt me again...

And still I gave myself to you completely...Heart....Body..And soul...

Three months later I received a letter from you....I sat on the sofa...Opened a bottle of wine and took a sip of it...

Tears were now running down my face...My world was crashing down with each word you placed in that letter...

You were getting married in three weeks time...With the girl your family wanted you to...

What about me?....What about us?....

Well...I guess I'm too complicated!....

And I always knew that....

Still...I couldn't stop loving you...

The fruit of my passion for you is now growing inside me...Nearly three months now...

But it's meaningless...It doesn't matter...Not anymore...

All I want now is to put an end to this pain...

I grabbed the bottle of wine...Filled up the tub..Lighted up some candles...Dropped my robe on the floor...And got in...

The warm water eased the pain on my body...

The razor eased the pain on my soul...

I closed my eyes and felt the pain being drained away...»

Long time since my last post

Yup....Definitely there's been quite some time since my last post.

As I told ya before I got a job last year and as you can imagine time is something that I'm still learning how to handle.Obviously some of the things I used to do before on a daily basis (such as blogging!) had to be left behind!Not very fond of that idea thou!LOL!But a lady gotta do what a lady gotta do right?!

Anyway, it's been almost an year since I started working and I still love to do what do (thou I got bigger plans for me!). The kids are doing great in all aspects and that makes me very happy.

Filipe is 13 years old now...Wilson is about to turn 11 next month...And Eric is 4 1/2 ....

It's a joy to see them grow strong and healthy but I miss the days they were little!...

Oh well...

Hope everything is running smoothly for ya as it is for me.

And like I said to a dear friend of mine: «If life gives ya lemons, make a lemonade!...And add some vodka!!!»

As some of you girls already know, I've made up my mind about change my life this year.I'm very stubborn and I've decided that this year will be one of the best years of my life!

I think I started pretty well by getting a tattoo done on my B'day right?!LOL!Well, that ain't all...2 weeks ago I went for a job interview...For my dream career!...Being a flight attendant!

It all went very well I should say....Thou my first thought when I got there was to turn around and walk away when I say over 50 people there applying for the same position (both genders) being 85% of them girls much younger, prettier and better groomed than me!...

Anyway...I decided to stick around and go for it no matter what!...

Turned out to be very positive for me!I actually found out that I really had a good chance of getting it!

By the end of that all I was the one who turned it out!

Thou I'm in 100% ok for all the requirements (age, education, skills , etc) it required me to move to Qatar...So...Thou I really want to become a flight attendant I had to say "No thanks!"...

Any hoo...I gave the 1st step towards it...Praying for new opps to come on over now!LOL!

Keep your fingers crossed for me girls!

Yesterday I turned 33 and had a great day!

I took the day off cause I wanted this day to be memorable!

Me and hubby spent the day all by ourselves went out for lunch, had a coffee at Starbucks and guess what I've offered myself??

I got a tattoo!

I've been wanting to do one for such a long time but was a bit scared.It turned out to be as easy as going to the hairdresser.Actually, last time I went to do my nails it was so painful that I felt like hitting the lady who was doing the stupid manicure!So this was piece of cake!

I gotta tribal butterfly surrounded by 3 little stars!Butterfly representing me and obviously the stars representing my 3 gorgeous baby boys!

Well, actually there isn't much to say!LOL!I'm still busy as a busy bee!

And I'm still in love with my job!LOL!

It's a very funny experience and I have a great team.I was the employee of the month for September and I have some responsibilities in my hands but I like it!

The kids are doing great and all excited about Xmas.I still haven't set up my Xmas tree thou!

I'm slimmer!!! Lost 5 kg in the last 4 weeks! So now I'm wearing jeans size 10!4 weeks ago I was a size 14!The ideal would be a size 8 thou! But I feel great already!

I miss my blogging friends a lot!

But...What can I do?....I'm always so tired that I hardly have time to do anything else.

Oh well....

Just hope everyone is doing great as well.

I'll keep in touch as regularly as possible!

Definitively this is a crappy day for me...
First I had to skip work cause the buses workers were on strike (therefor I'll loose my assiduity bonus) ...Filipe is not feeling that good...Eric is coughing a lot...And my husband just called me to say that my MIL's friend asked him:«What are you doing to your wife cause she looks so fat and round now?» (Just keep in mind that this came from a person that is not able to see her own toes!!!)
Husband's reply:«Nothing.Just treat her good and provide her with everything that she needs.»WRONG answer!He should have said somethin' like:«Well she's three times smaller than you» or«I think you need a new pair of glasses»!!!
Bottom line...He sort of agreed wit her!!!
So I feel like a piece of s*** now...
And guess what do I do when I'm stressed??Right!Eat even more...
Can I just disappear into an hole??...

I refuse myself to believe that Summer is coming to an end now!...We're getting to that time in the year that drives me nuts!...Soon enough Fall will be here and along with it the scenarios, sounds and smells that make my heart skip a beat...The reddish leaves on the trees....The cold and rainy weather...Thanks Giving and Trick or Treat...And on my mind 1 000 000 thoughts running wild...«Why am I still here?»... «When will my kids celebrate their 1st Thanks Giving?»...«Will next year be better then this?»...
And along with these "homesick" thoughts, a whole bunch of hidden tears...
I wanna get pregnant but I know that can't do it now...I love my job but on the other hand I miss being at home with my kids ...I gotta a new buddy,but I miss my blogging girlfriends dearly...Toni's baby is here and the gift I was supposed to send months ago is still laying on the phone desk waiting to be posted to the US...I lost track of what is happening in everyone's life...
*Big sigh*....
It seems that I'm on a spiral...Better than that!I look like a dog chasing it's own tail!I set a goal in life, it's laying there in front of me, I chase it like crazy and the more I try to grab it further it seems to be!!!

Like you girls know, mom got married (I mean like signing papers and exchanging vows!...) last Saturday the 8th of August.I have to admit that the wedding was funny (a bit tacky for my taste but very funny) and everyone had a great time.
My mother and stepfather were so happy that the both of them looked like two small children on Xmas morning!...
They even cried while exchanging wedding rings and vows and while climbing up the staircase into the venue room!
I was the "photographer in charge" so there aren't many pics of this whale, I mean, momma here!LOL!

Lately I've been running like a horse!...Running to get to my work...Running back to get to my house...Running to pick up the kids...Running to get the dinner started...Running ...Running...Running!!!!....
And during the past two weeks, running to get some nice clothes for my mother's wedding that will happen next Saturday!....Arghhhhhh!....Yeah!...You heard me right!...My mother is getting married next Saturday (with my step father) thou they're together for 17 years now...So...The girl who's carrying the wedding rings will be wearing a pink dress and Wilson will have to match her!... The thing is, I've been so busy that I only started to worry about it short while ago and now I can't find pink shirts at all!!!!
Therefor I'm stressed!...Not to mention that I look a whale in my dress!....

The soccer match USA vs Brazil ended 10 minutes ago...
I'm so, but so very sad that I feel like crying...I can not believe that after having the advantage by 2 goals on the first half of the match the USA team just handed it to the Brazilians in a silver plate...I'm so furious!...Anyhow...The American team has proofed to the world that they have great players...And they should have win the Confederations Cup...
I really hope they win the World Cup next year in South Africa...

Today I had to stay home cause Eric is feeling sick....Poor thing!....It breaks my heart to see him like this....I don't know what exactly is wrong with him (and neither do the doctors!) but he kept vomiting all through the night...He does not have fever (which is good!) but he's always complaining that his tummy hurts and so does his throat...
Any way...He seems to be a bit better now....We both had a busy night and a busy morning!...
Hope he gets some sleep this afternoon....
I sure could use some sleeping right now!LOL!

Here she is in the annual Medieval Fair petting a Burmese Python!
And the most funny is....She fears them to death!
I remember once I picked up a baby snake and wanted to take her home with me and my mom almost slap me over that!LOL!
Well, now she says that she doesn't fear the big snakes cause their fat and slow!..Only the small ones who are fast as hell!LOL!
Sorry to say this mom but these ones are the ones who you should fear the most!LOL!Yeah...And the reason why I'm sayin' this is cause we don't have any dangerous snakes here in Portugal!

Last Friday was Samuel's Birthday. Samuel is Savia's baby boy and Savia is this great lady I had the opportunity to meet on my first day at work!So, we're colleagues and great buddies!Oh...And she's not Portuguese of course!LOL!Savia's from Goa (India).

I know that lately I've been an absent friend and I want to apologize for that girls!...
I miss you all and I miss blogging and taking pictures!...
But as much as I try time is never enough!...
When I get home I'm usually so tired that I don't feel like doing anything but laying on the couch!..
And if I'm not that tired there's always sooooooooooooooo much to do around the house that when I'm done with it it's time to go to bed!...*big sigh*!....
But I want you girls to know that despite my absence I always, and I mean ALWAYS think of you...You know that most of my colleagues are foreign...Canada,US,UK and India...
So I'm always saying stuff like:«Oh really?Well, my friend in Tennessee said that *whatever*...» or «Yeah my Canadian friend thinks the same way than you!...» or «Is that near to Wolverhampton? I have a good friend that lives there!» or «You're daughter's dress is so cute!It would look great on Tisha's baby!...»
I really miss you my dear friends...
Oh well, today it's a bank holiday in the UK so I had this day off as well...But I spent 80% of this day running my errands ...

Just got a question for you before I head to bed with that gruesome image of those two in my mind:
Don't you find a bit funny that a supposed kidnapper enter a room where 3 small children are sleeping, grabs one of them and get away with a 3 year old (carrying her still sleeping!) through the bedrooms window??And what about the fact that through the whole precess of kidnapping and people getting in and out of the room the 2 year old twins kept sleeping like angels??
I'm a mother of 3 and God help me from even sneezing when my 3 year old's sleeping!...Hmmmmmm....
So their fake tears did NOT touched me....The only thing that was touched was my stomach!

So...Shell I start with the good news or the bad news!?LOL!
Maybe I should start with what went wrong first!...
Yesterday afternoon, after Eric take his nap, he woke up burning in fever...I guess my lil'rugrat subconsciously knew that he would be with out his momma for an whole day and his little body responded to it...I don't know!....So, yesterday I spent 90% of the day trying to organize everything for today...Finally, I went to bed around 00h30...Eric had fever all night long so he kept turning and tossing in bed...Around 2am he vomited... So I got up from bed and cleaned him and everything else up...He only fell asleep again (which means that I fell asleep again too!) around 5h30am...6h30 I was up!Getting dressed and ready for my 1st day at work!...I got the kids up around 7am...7h35am I was knocking at my MIL's door to leave the kids...Eric grabbed my hand and refused to let it go so I had to just kinda push him away(my heart was broken to do that!...) cause now I was late to catch the bus which was leaving at 7h46!...So I looked at my watch and thought «Oh s****!!!Now I've got to run!» So I ran!When I got to the bus stop the bus was just about to leave!The driver hit the brakes so I could get in!LOL!As I was entering I stumbled on the step and fell on my knees cause my hands were occupied holding my bags!Everybody laughed!....Geeez!....
But that was it....After that everything went smoothly!...I loved the crew who's providing us the training.They are all very friendly.My working group is quite good too.We have people from all over the world:US, Canada,Finland,Brazil,Goa,UK!....A nice mangle!LOL!
I got home a bit earlier than I was expecting once it was our 1st day there.My whole body is aching!...But I feel very happy!...
The only thing bothering me right now is the fact that Eric is still feverish!...
Hope he gets better ASAP...

I've been quite absent lately but as you know I've been looking for a job cause life was demanding ASAP!...
And you all hotmommas know how demanding it is to take care of our children 24/7, plus the house...The dog...The birdie....LOL!
Well...Finally, last week I was called for an interview!...In fact, that same call was the 1st part of my interview:testing my English Skills! And I did fine!So they scheduled me for the second interview live on scene!LOL!And I did good again!Last Friday I went through the 3rd part of it:a little chat on the phone with the company's chairman (in this case a chairwoman!LOL) who's British!And I did good again!
So today the manager called me to say that they did like me and so I was hired!YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How great is that????I'm so excited!!!
First cause I loved the working environment, I have the chance to work speaking in English and the salary ain't that bad compared to my previous job!
That's due to the fact that the company is NOT PORTUGUESE!And when I settle I got the chance to achieve one of my biggest dreams in life!Move overseas!Yeah you heard me!Their company is spread worldwide so I can work for them any where!!!
I'm still head over hills about it and I'm all stressed up trying to figure out everything at the same time cause I've been home for the past 3 years and I'm kinda stuck on the "mommy gear"!
Anyhoo!...
Another big achievement around here was made by Eric:he's fully potty trained at last!No more diapers for him!!!For the past 2 nights he has been sleeping with out it and did not wet the bed!Ain't he the sweetest thing ever!?Yay for the both of us!
So I hope you all lovely girls, keep your fingers crossed for me!

I know that my posts are not much bright lately...
And that I complaint a LOT!...
But common,please!!!Give me a break will ya???Lately I haven't been much lucky !....And I don't even know why it all happens to me!I think I'm a good person...I'm always nice to everyone!...
As some of you may know, here in Portugal Spring Break ends today...So for the past 2 weeks my kids were at home with me...Almost everyday Wilson's buddies were here knocking at my door cause they love to be here playing with my kids!...I love children!So it didn't bother me at all!...(I'll post some pics I actually took today soon)
They always make a mess each time they come!...But its was fine by me!...
I was always doing snacks and yummy stuff for them!...So coming to "Auntie Sandra" means lots of fun and yummy stuff!...
So far so good right?
There was a particular child in that group that always made me feel like "I gotta keep an eye on him!..."
But I thought he had understand the rules and he was kinda behaving...
Today I don't know why but when they came knocking I wasn't really in a mood to put up with a bunch of kids running and screaming..Still, I invited them in and let them stay for 3 hours...After they left I asked Filipe to go and buy more bread cause they had been eating and there wasn't much left...I reached for my purse that was in the living room (where the kids were playing) grabbed my wallet and the money I had there was GONE!No it wasn't much...Just a few coins (about $5) ...I'm not mad because the money but because he betrayed my trust!The kid had the audacity to go through my
purse while I was in the bathroom or so to take money from me!Me! The one who's always been so good to them!!!
I asked Wilson to go look for them all and say that I was really mad and I didn't want them to come anymore cause one of them had took money from me.They instantaneously said that was that boy (the one I haven't ever trusted) who did it!...And that little rugrat wasn't there anymore playing with his mates!Sure he wasn't! Who wants to be caught anyway???
I'm really pissed off!...And I blame his parents!...
My kids (I know that they are not better then anyone!) had never EVER take any money from me!And I have 3 boys!
I believe it's all a matter of education!The education that we PARENTS are supposed to give to our children!...
He does this now and he's only 9 so what's going to be like when he's 16?!....

I just "exchanged" a few words with one of my Portuguese girl friends and all I feel like is crying...No she wasn't not rude or anything but...I feel like crying my guts out!...
Last time I saw her was almost 1 year ago...And she only lives 3.72 miles away from me!...I know she has a nearly 3 y.o. baby girl and she's going through divorce and that she's working and so...But a WHOLE year went by...So I said to her «Last time we saw each other was almost 1 year ago...» and she said «You have no idea how my life is right now» I replied «I can imagine» and she said «No you can't...»
That was such a stroke for me...My 1st thought was "Well if you just called me or came to me I WOULD know what's going on!!!!!"
I have a whole bunch of things going on in my mind and in my life too!And thou I'm blessed with a good handful of wonderful friends I've made through the blogging world I need HUMAN TOUCH!!!
I need to talk to grown up people from the same gender and about the same age then me!....People who understand me!I'm only human for the crying out loud!...

Today I got this email from my beloved niece warning about pedophile signs and symbols...Of course I had to publish it over my blog, cause this is something that we all should be aware of!

So here's the deal:

Last January the FBI released a report about pedophiles.
In this report a series of symbols are shown.Symbols and signs used by the pedophiles so they can be able to recognize them.
The symbols are always composed by the union of two similar shapes (one inside the other).
The bigger shape represents the adult and the smaller shape represents the child.
The size difference between them demonstrates the preference for older or younger children.
Boys are represented by the triangular shapes and the girls by the hearts.

This symbols can be found on websites,coins,jewelry among other objects...

The triangular shapes represent men that like boys (the cruel detail is that the thinner triangle stands for those who like boys of a very tender age);the heart represent men who like girls and the butterfly represents those who like both genders.

Remember my "Sandra's Sunday Corner" recomended book?
Well, while I was out of computer I read this AMAZING book!...Yes, it's a wonderful book!I devoured it!In less of a week I had this "gorgeous" read!
This is definitively one of the best books I've ever read in my life. I love true stories cause it takes us to somebody else's life and we can experience all they went through...The good stuff and the bad stuff!...
This lady here is a heck of a woman!!!
All the things she went through in the name of love!...Oh my goodness!You girls have no idea!...
Just picture this:
Over 20 years ago this gorgeous lady (Corinne Hofmann,a 28 years old woman from Switzerland) went on vacation to Kenya...Thou she (kinda) had company with her she immediately fell in love with this Masai warrior that she had spot on the boat.That was love at the first sight!
Despite the huge cultural differences she decided that she would face everything and everyone for the man she loved.
She sold her store in Bern (Switzerland) to marry the Samburu warrior.
She endured several deadly diseases,malnutrition,jealousy and a pregnancy and delivery while living in the bush!.... WOW!
She endured all that for 4 years...When she decided to escape from there with her gorgeous baby daughter Napirai.
I can assure you that this book is awesome!
After reading such an amazing story I had to see the movie but to be honest, it was a big turn off...

Today is my first born 12th Birthday!!!
Filipe is now 12 years old!Can you believe it???
It looks like it was yesterday....On the 24th March of 1997, by 11pm Filipe was born with 9.34lbs and 20.47 inches long...He was the bigger baby in that room...He was so big that I couldn't push him out by my self...The doctors had to pull him out with the help of forceps (reallyyyyyyyy painful!)...I lost so much blood that I had to stay in the Hospital for 5 days (with penicilin shots 3 times per day!!!) but he was all worthy!...He's a bright young man who is very respectful,caring and loving...And I'm very proud of him!...
Mommy loves you very much!!!!

This morning while having breakfast my TV was on the morning news and when the news reporter started telling about this I almost choked!OMG! Laughing and having coffee at the same time is not a good idea!!!LOL!
Yes,I had a good laugh with this news...Not that that was something cheerful, absolutely not!But it was at least....How can I put it?....OUTRAGEOUS!
Just picture this:
Our Forensics Team (our CSI team) has run out of working material!!!For the past 6 months they have no material to collect evidences from a crime scene!!!How can this be????????????So, what can we expect from this?!Should we consider that crime pays?!Well in Portugal it always did due to our very poor law system (no life sentence or death penalty...) but now the criminals feel even more "comfortable" doin' their stuff!
Now just look at us!...We, Portuguese,part of Europe, a so called civilized country, land of the great conquerors, just had hit
the bottom!....

PS--Let me just remind you that when I mentioned "civilized" and "great conquerors" I was being ironic! You all know how much I love (NOT!!!!) my country!LOL!

The thing is music has always been very important to me,therefor I always have a whole bunch of videos.My parents gave me a strong musical background.When my parents met, dad was the lead singer of a local band back in the late 60's early 70's.My dad's deep blue eyes and blond hair caught my mom's attention!She was only 14 then.
Any way...I'm bringing this up so you can understand my passion about music.
So...As I was saying....
Short while ago I was finishing my dishes and cleaning up my kitchen and of course the radio was on...And this music started to play...And BANG!!!All the sudden this Sandra you know wasn't there anymore....I closed my eyes and let myself drift away by this awesome song....
Thou I had my rubber gloves on,one dish in one hand and the sponge on the other...Thou the dog was barking and the kids were fighting each other,I wasn't here in my kitchen...
The Sandra with these extra pounds,flaccid tummy full of stretch marks was gone...
This Sandra here was on a tropical paradise, where the sun was setting in gorgeous tones and shades of purple and orange...Lying on the sand that was still warm due to the hot sunny day,letting her sexy perfect body be caressed by the gentle waves...And of course I was NOT alone....Hubby was there....All over me....The music keeps playing...Now I can feel the salty taste on my lips as I kiss him passionately...The waves keep coming...Slowly and gently...Touching our bodies...And....

But the fact is that things haven't been easy around here...I've been busy, busy, busy...

My laptop is broken so it's 1 desktop for 5 people!Yep...5!!!Cause everyone around here loves net surfing!Even Eric(my 3 year old) loves to be up here watching videos in YouTube!...So this hot momma over here, gets less time to her biggest new addiction!...
Kids have been sick as well (again!)since last weekend.It all started with Wilson, than passed on to Eric and now to Filipe...
Every time I get to be on the computer it's to apply for jobs!I usually spend around 2 hours doing it! (Remember I'm applying for jobs over here as well as overseas)

So I'm exhausted...Physically and psychologically ....I do!...I honestly do....
I'm start to get in the desperate mode!....I'm usually a fighter and the one with the positive attitude....But I feel like I'm breaking down a bit....
And the weather is not helping!...Gray skies and rain don't kick me into the "all cheered up" mood....
So...Would you please get me a job or bring the hot sunny weather back to me???

Maddie-The truth of the lie :take 2

You girls know that hubby gave me this book about the Maddie McCann case.
I don't know if you remember my post about it...
About what I feel and think over this subject...The person who wrote
this book is the police inspector that was leading the investigation
and then was discharged of his duty with no reasonable explanation
(While the investigation was still on...)
I still wonder who are that couple to have so much POWER!...
I
could post a never ending number of that book passages to make my point
about this, but this one I'm posting here is pretty clear to
demonstrate my point of view...Here in Portugal we have this old saying
that goes like this: «To a good understander, half word is enough...»
This was a couple of weeks prior they became "arguidos" in the case...
The
investigators observed that there were 2 realities in the couple's
bedroom.On the Kate Healy side there were several pictures of the girl
on the wall all of them had either a rosary or a saint (like if they
were watching over the little girls soul).And on the nightstand there
was a bible with a saint picture marking this particular page of the
Old Testament (Samuel II,12th chapter):

«¹³David said to Nathan, ‘I have sinned against the Lord.’ Nathan said to David, ‘Now the Lord has put away your sin; you shall not die.
¹⁴Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the Lord,the child that is born to you shall die.’
¹⁵Then Nathan went to his house.

The Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became very ill.
¹⁶David therefore pleaded with God for the child; David fasted, and went in and lay all night on the ground.
¹⁷The elders of his house stood beside him, urging him to rise from the ground; but he would not, nor did he eat food with them.
¹⁸On the seventh day the child died. And the
servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead; for
they said, ‘While the child was still alive, we spoke to him, and he
did not listen to us; how then can we tell him the child is dead? He
may do himself some harm.’
¹⁹But when David saw that his servants were
whispering together, he perceived that the child was dead; and David
said to his servants, ‘Is the child dead?’ They said, ‘He is dead.’

20 Then David rose from the ground, washed, anointed himself, and changed his clothes. He went into the house of the Lord, and worshiped; he then went to his own house; and when he asked, they set food before him and he ate.
²¹Then his servants said to him, ‘What is this
thing that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while it
was alive; but when the child died, you rose and ate food.’
²²He said, ‘While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, “Who knows? The Lord may be gracious to me, and the child may live.”
²³But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.’

24 Then David consoled his wife Bathsheba, and went to her, and lay with her; and she bore a son, and he named him Solomon. The Lord loved him,
²⁵and sent a message by the prophet Nathan; so he named him Jedidiah, because of the Lord.»

On Gerry side of the room there was nothing related to the
girl...Just some books that made the investigators go like :"what????"

Today I turn 32!....
To be honest I really don't care about the number thing...Cause I feel quite young!In fact I think I will only start feeling old after I turn 80 or so! LOL!
What did I ask for my birthday?...Well, a mansion with a pool and a tennis court plus a garage filled with fancy cars would be nice! No can do?!Oh...In that case maybe a set of diamond ring and earrings!Still no for an answer?!...Hmmmm...Ok...What about a day with no screaming or fighting, no whining or crying???No can do either??!!Geee!Tough audience!LOL!
I know!What about 5 minutes of peace and quite while I'm using the bathroom so I can read one more page of my book?I can???Oh THANKS!!!!!!LOL!
